Dear Friends of “Smith’s Legacy”,
Established at the time of Smith’s passing in March of 2021, “Smith’s Legacy” has embraced its vision of helping families deal with the life-limiting illness of their loved one through supporting a number of organizations and programs.
It is with our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to you, our donors and supporters, for helping us to pay-forward the kindness we received during Smith’s journey and to honour him in this way.
“Smith’s Legacy” has now reached its purpose and conclusion.
We are so pleased to be able to make the following final gifts to organizations that will continue to support families in their journeys facing life-limiting illness. The different programs and services will be provided free of charge to a variety of children, teens, young adults, adults and older adults, and in settings both locally and across Canada. All of these charities hold true to the same vision and caring spirit as was “Smith’s Legacy”.

The legacy our loved ones leave in our hearts and the difference they made in our lives will be with us always. Like us, we hope you continue to remember Smith, a life so beautifully lived and rooted in love. How lucky we were to have stood in his light.
With our thanks and deepest gratitude,
Smith’s Team!

The Making of a Legacy
“Smith’s Legacy” was founded in memory of Smith Baker by his loving family after he passed away at 15 years old from terminal brain cancer.
His adventurous and vibrant spirit and his compassionate and creative nature, mixed with a deep curiosity and enthusiasm for life were the hallmarks of Smith. To know him, was to know that the world needs more Smith Bakers.
This legacy fund has been established to help families deal with a life-limiting illness of their loved one. Smith’s family was so grateful to have had the support of many friends and family, but know that not everyone is so fortunate. Smith was a gentle, caring and generous soul who saw the best in everyone and would be the first to step up to help someone in their time of need.
